Advanced Track & Trace security code certified in France

ATT logoAdvanced Track & Trace has been awarded the France Cybersecurity certification for its SealCrypt document security code.

France launched a new cybersecurity initiative last year in response to what it has described as the "digitalisation of French society" that provides opportunities for innovation and growth but also risks for the state, businesses and individuals from cybercrime.

The France Cybersecurity label is part of that initiative and is designed to demonstrate that the security technology in question is of high quality and has been reviewed by independent assessors.

The jury includes representatives of the French Directorate General of Armaments, Ministry of Economy and Agence Nationale de la Sécurité des Systèmes d'Information (ANSSI), industry bodies and end users.

SealCrypt is a 2D code that makes it possible to assign an electronic signature to a document, guaranteeing the file's integrity (e.g. whether it is authentic, un-modified and issued by the correct person) both in electronic form and after printing.

Reading and authenticating the signature can be done with a smartphone or PC via a dedicated app, according to ATT, which notes that the data stored in the SealCrypt code can be text, images or biometrics. All the data are stored in the code and no database is required, making the system less vulnerable to hacking.

SealCrypt was given a Blue Shield Innovation Award in Beijing at the Security Document Summit.
