Police implicate lawyers in Indian fake document case

Indian police have implicated lawyers and court officials in the use of counterfeit documents for bail bond agreements.
An investigation has yielded four arrests and the seizure of materials, including fake government holograms, used in the creation of counterfeit documents for bail bond agreements. At least 20 people were bailed by each of the four arrestees and police believe others were involved too.
"The ring is a very organised scam being perpetrated with the connivance of many lawyers and court officials. The case is being investigated and chances of more people being involved in the ring are very likely," local police told the Deccan Herald after making the arrests.
Each of the four arrestees allegedly used various fake names to provide sureties of up to Rs 1,500 ($30). As well as the government hologram stickers, police found fake ration cards, election photo identification and other counterfeit papers when arresting the four men.
