Aegate names UK/Ireland business development manager

Medicine verification and authentication specialist Aegate has appointed Paul Thomas as its regional business development manager for the UK and Ireland.

Thomas, who has many years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry including a 13-year stint at Novo Nordisk where he was latterly head of sales.

He brings "a wealth of experience of and insight to the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare service provision, including product launches, strategic development and stakeholder engagement," said Aegate, which operates secure real-time systems to verify the authenticity of medicines in multiple European countries, including Belgium and Italy.

Other recent job moves at Aegate include the appointment of Anthony Vonsée, as chief channels and partner officer and Peter Fox as chief technology officer.
