FBI seeks pharma collaborators for security project

The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is looking for partners to help to develop a report on pharmaceutical security concerns.

The agency says it wants “federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and private sector healthcare pharmaceutical analysts, informaticists, and security personnel to participate in recommending, drafting, and disseminating a Healthcare and Public Heath (HPH) Pharmaceutical Joint Product.”

The aim is to cover risks, critical threats, and vulnerabilities associated with opioids, corporate espionage, product tampering, counterfeit drugs, etc, to help develop “a joint product that meets professional intelligence tradecraft standards, and gain a practical understanding of how the FBI processes and analyses information that enhances intelligence and operation integration.”

Interested participants should contact OPE-EEU@fbi.gov and Joseph P. Doran jpdoran@fbi.gov by May 31, 2019.
