US singer apologises for selling fake Rolexes

FTSK image from Fearless RecordsThe lead singer of US pop punk band Forever the Sickest Kids has been arrested and charged with offenses related to trademark infringement and attempted distribution of counterfeit Rolex watches.

In a statement released by the band's label Fearless Records, Jonathan Cook claimed ignorance that presenting an item for sale with a false trademark is a criminal offense.

"Before being arrested, I was not aware of how serious such a transaction was and through my experience I have learned that it does not matter how or where I purchased the watches," said Cook.

"I am now aware of the financial harm that the distribution of counterfeit property can cause to others, and that this activity is a very serious matter with serious consequences," he added.
