Staff reporter, 29-May-2019
Enforcement operations in West Bengal, India, have resulted in the seizure of hundreds of counterfeit Crocs products, including shoes and bags.
The recent raids were carried out against New Shalimar Shoes at Kalimpong and against Jay Maa Trading Company at Siliguri in West Bengal, says a company press release. The owners of the stores were arrested and goods seized from both raids will be produced as evidence in legal proceedings.
“Crocs takes its intellectual property very seriously and will continue to aggressively protect the brand against those who unfairly trade off Crocs goodwill,” said Sara Hoverstock, Crocs’ associate general counsel.
