People: Dirk Rodgers joins Systech

Dirk RodgersDirk Rodgers has been named regulatory strategist at Systech International and will represent the company on several key industry work groups.

Rodgers - an expert in pharma and medical device serialization who previously worked for Cardinal Health before setting up an independent consultancy in 2012 - will also write and speak on behalf of Systech to help explain global serialization and tracing regulations. He writes the well-regarded RxTrace blog and says this will be unaffected by his role at Systech.

Discussing his new role at Systech, Rodgers said: "Pending regulatory deadlines around the globe are driving increased demand in the company’s existing serialization and track and trace solutions, as well as its newly released anti-counterfeiting and authentication technologies for brand protection."

Lou Arace, Systech's chief operating officer, commented that Rodgers has "unparalleled understanding of the new Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) and the Unique Device Identification (UDI) regulations and how to meet them using technology."

"His expertise will be incredibly beneficial to our internal team as well as our global customers."
